Crew 281: Sol 7 at MDRS The Mission so far
On Sol 7 (day 7) of our analog mission to Mars at the Mars Desert Research Station. It has been a busy week and we are excited for the rest of the mission!
We have a bunch of experiments set up in various parts of the Station. In the Science Dome we have the sprouting Chocolate seeds, the Geotechnical equipment testing and troubleshooting SDR (Software Defined Radio).
In the GreenHab we are working to keep it running through the end of the season! It doesn’t usually survive this far into the heat of the Utah so far so good.
Yesterday we we up the HAM Radio Station. Rachel is our Operator and can be reached at KO4HLC/MDRS. We are listed as a POTA station.
We have also done multiple EVAs to conduct geological-geotechnical assessment, test drone operations and test geotechnical equipment.
